Multiple submissions with the same data

Today I set up a new form, called Vocations Query Form. As soon as we embedded the form on our site, at least one of the email recipients started to be flooded with blank messages from the form - the fields marked as 'required' contain generic details, i.e. First name: Me. Last name: Me. Email address: me@me.com  (as per attachment.) This continued even after we added captcha to the form. Do you have any idea what the problem is? Are you able to look at the form and see if there is something regarding the way the email notifications or integration with Google spreadsheet or anything else is set up that might be causing this?

Regarding the blank submission it seems the blank fields are not marked as required hence when one submits they can choose not to fill them hence the blank entries, you can choose to hide empty fields on emails to prevent them from being submitted if they have not value or set them as required if the information is needed.

I have checked a copy of your form and it seems you have three notifiers set up, upon testing i received three emails of the same data sent by each notifier. You can use change the destination address of each notifier or just retain one.

Thanks. But your response does not address the problem. The problem is not that the submitted forms are blank. They are clearly spam or the result of a glitch of some kind. My colleague was inundated with more than 60 of these identical emails in the space of about ten minutes. It continued when we added the Captcha code which is why I wonder if the problem is with the form itself rather than a spambot.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Upon checking our records, everything seems in order regarding your form.

It appears that you have been a target of a spammer - if I'm looking at the proper submissions, they have all been made from one particular Australian IP address. You can see the IP address of every submission. What I would recommend, in order to remedy this unfortunate situation, is that you add a form limitation to prevent multiple submissions from the same IP address.

This way, they will be able to send only one submission.

From the records that I can see, it appears that they (the person who was spamming your submissions) have been reloading the page and submitting the page over and over, doing this over several minutes. They ultimately submitted your form that many times on purpose. Setting your Form Limits should prevent such things from occurring.

Please let us know how it goes.
