what is the order of condition's logic

    I am having difficulty getting the logic of conditions to work.  I wan to hide options if it is empty or none is selected.  I have tried with both the hide and show command.  I studied the example given in a previous e-mail, but only found where it uses the show command.  The field I am trying to set a condition on is the "Number of Children" Field.

    In your case, Use the 'Show field' option for those 'Child 1' and 'Child 2' fields.

    when 'Number of Children' equals 1 , show {each relevant field for Child 1}

    This is where you may have been going wrong: remember with 2 children you will also have to Show the Child 1 fields. A quick way to add this to the current condition to show a particular field for Child 1 is to 'Add a New Rule' to that condition. i.e when 'Number of Children' equals 2, show {each field for Child 1}

    Here is a clone of your form -> http://www.jotform.com/form/13184701365 with the conditions for 'number of children' field set up as per my suggestions above.  ( you can clone this form if you want to use it as basis for your own, note: You have to recreate the email notification as I have deleted off my example form)

    I realise that the conditional logic can be a bit confusing to begin with, but once you do grasp it, it will get a lot easier.

    Let us know if you if there is anything at all, you remain a little unsure about.

    I see what you have done and it makes sense.  I was able to play with the HIDE feature until I got it to work like I needed it to, but I am not sure how this happened.  Since I plant to use this feature in the future, I would like to understand the difference between show and hide.  Does show assume that the field is hidden until the contition is met?  does hide assume the field will be shown if the condition is not met?

    Thanks for the help.  I have been very pleased with the level of support from Jot Form

    You are completely right, Show condition means that the field is hidden until the condition is met, and Hide is the opposite to Show.
