Love this company! I am a small business owner and fortunately I stumbled upon this website about 2 months ago. I have used it to create a form for my employees to use to fill out their employee information and work reports. My employees and I have been filling these forms out as a replacement to our paper and pencil method for about the last month. Since we started doing this, our efficiency in billing has increased 25%! Thank you very much for this!

My question is: When we sell a part, we have to know what the part number is, or where to find what the part number is. We have all of this information in an excel spread sheet which we can use to manually go through, which is time consuming. I was wondering if there is any widget that would allow us either to enter the beginning of the part number and it prepopulates the end of the part number matching it with what is in a spreadsheet, or if the user could enter some decription that would bring up all possible matches in the spread sheet. I hope I am explaining this okay?

For example, say we sell a part call "Ice Cube Relay" with part number "750-SKT-2A". I want my employees to be able to enter the part number and the quantity (right now they are just doing this as text). But some times my employee only remembers the description, but can't recall the part number. Can user enter "Ice Cube" and the form populates a side by side list of the description of the part and the part number next to it. Sorry if it's confusing :(

I believe Auto Complete widget can partially accomplish what you need:

    You can test it here:

Autofill works great! Problem is I don't have the ability to continuously make this list longer, ie. keep adding new lines. I want to be able to enter a line, hit enter, which will take me to a new line and allow me to add another text for the autofill. Right now it only allows me to have one line.

Final goal for this form, for me, is to have a list of parts that a user can enter partial information that will fill in automatically in column 1, with column 2 being the quantity of parts used. User has the ability to enter a bunch of parts that automatically enter down the column.

There are few widgets that that you can use to add new lines or columns:

Configurable list widget is the most comprehensive listing widget we have yet. The widget allows you to define the various field types per column on the list in a matrix-type of layout.

    http://www.jotform.com/help/282-How-to-Set-Up-the-Configurable-List-Widget

Dynamic Text Boxes simplifies listing on your form by allowing your users to add more responses to a question.

    http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/dynamic_textbox

Matrix Dynamique widget allows you to collect data that has been laid out in a grid by dynamically adding extra rows.

There are also few more widgets that you can find here.

Unfortunately none of this widgets have Autofill option.

Maybe you can set conditional logic to hide and show form fields based on values that are entered in some of your fields.

Here is a demo form I made with condition to hide/show fields.
