    Asked by composants on November 16, 2011 at 11:36 AM

    Hi,

    We started to use Jotform and so far we are satisfied with the servise!
    We use our form as a kind of application form that includes options such as name, address, phone number etc.
    Just wondering if its possible to exclude the counrty dropdown from the address field since its not neccesary for us.

    Country option JotForm address field application form name

    Yes.

    You can do that by adding some Custom CSS.

    NOTE: There is no way to stop the email notifications showing the Country field, even if its not shown on the form. So, I recommend setting the default country for the address field on the form to wherever you are. Access this setting by clicking the Properties of the address field (select field, click grey cog on right hand side, click Show Properties )

    To hide the actual Country field on the form:

    In the form builder, 1) on the Setup & Embed toolbar, 2) Click Preferences, 3) Click Form Styles, 4) in the Inject Custom CSS text box, add the following:

    #input_1_country, #sublabel_country {display:none !important;}

    Here is my complete final example form: http://www.jotform.com/form/13191231309

    Hi John,

    Please change your existing CSS Code to this:

    #input_6_country, #sublabel_country {display:none !important;}

    I just changed #input_1_country to #input_6_country, since the country dropdown field ID in your form is #input_6_country. You can view this ID by viewing your form's source code.

    That should work. Let us know if you have further questions. Thank you so much!

    @ schmag

    The code you used is form specific. Also, there's no need to use this anymore since you can now removed specific fields from the address field via it's properties.

    If you have follow up questions, please post it in a new thread so we can assist you further. This thread is pretty old and the solution for this problem is obselete so we require you to please open a new thread.

    Thanks!
