created a new form from scratch and when I went to preview it saved for almost 2 hours and then never actually completed saving.

I'm sorry about this issue. Please try opening or editing the form in another browser to see if the changes have been saved. If not, try to check your form revision history:
If no changes have been saved, it's either you're automatically logout that time or another error is causing it. Did you notice a popup message?
