I've attempted using the Date Picker widget as well as a few others, but they don't seem to work properly for me. When I download the submissions in an Excel format, the date appears properly and the time does not display in the cell. However, if I click on the cell I can see the time the report was created appended to the date.
For instance, the Date Time Picker will be set to Date only through the properties settings (no time recorded), but the result will look like this in Excel:
5/6/2015 02:15:22 pm
How can I retrieve only the date? I'm using these fields in a mail merge setup through Microsoft Word and having the time tacked on to the date is frustrating me. Thanks in advance for any help!

I have checked on the Date Picker Widget and that option retrieves dates only, no time included.
The submissions downloaded in .xls shows as follow:
