Can I created a PDF Form with a Blank/Hidden Submission ID?

    Good Day!

I'm trying to create a PDF Form that will submit data in to JotForm, and later, the PDF can be downloaded with the data pre-populated. What I would like to do is have the pre-populated PDF Form then "edit" the submission later using the Submission ID that would be occupying a hidden field. The problem is, if I submit the HTML version of the form with a blank editSubmission element, I receive an error stating "The Submission ID is invalid". I am assuming that the PDF Form would submit just like the HTML form, which would mean for every New Submission, JotForm will produce the same error.

Ideally, I don't want to keep two different PDF files (one with a hidden Submission ID for editing form data, and one without), so I would have to embed the hidden editSubmission element in the PDF, and keep the data blank.

Is there a way to work around this in your opinion? I would like to not have to edit the PDF's Javascript to make sure it doesn't submit a blank editSubmission.

    Thanks!

    @ TJCApaches

To be honest with you, I do not understand exactly when you say Submission ID.

    Are you referring to this:

    This ID is automatically assigned.

Please find helpful information here: http://www.jotform.com/fillable-pdf-form-creator/.

If it is possible for you to include a screen shot of the "The Submission ID is invalid" message, and the link of form in question so we can be able to look deeper into and find a solution.

    Thanks.
