Image picker widget - I would like mouse hover to trigger an event, instead of having to click on the image

Is there a way to implement a mouse over event instead of a mouse down event when using the image picker?

I prefer to allow someone to hover over a book illustration to trigger the event.

    Thanks.

P.S. I am still working on this form.

    Hello AlanJordan,

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. Do you actually want to display some content when you do a mouse hover on the images?

Unfortunately there is no option to trigger a mouse hover even in the Image Radio Button widget.

I would suggest you to explain your requirement a bit more in detail and we will try to find out if there is any workaround available. If required, we will send a feature request to our back end team as well.

    Thank you!

Yes. You understand my question, Ashwin. If possible, I'd like an option added that allows the execution of events when a user's mouse hovers over one of the images. In this way, the user does not need to click on a choice and when they move the mouse from image to image, the information displayed at the bottom changes.

Please submit a feature request on my behalf.

I forwarded this request to our developers so they can consider the implementation of an option to mouse hover and show content.

We'll contact you if we decide on its implementation.

Let us know if we can assist you further.

    Carina,

Thank you.  I think it will be an easy thing to do because the widget already exhibits that behavior.  When one hovers over an image, a circle on the image where the mouse is located darkens and the other circles are lightened (disabled).  So, it should be easy to add a little extra functionality to that routine or class.

    Regards,

    Alan

P.S. Would you ask the developer to let me know if this feature is implemented?
