How do I get a .pdf of the submitted form to look more like the original form?Asked by CIE_Drilling_HSSE on May 23, 2015 at 07:27 AM
When I click 'Get PDF' after someone has submitted the form,The PDF has all of the text, etc. from the form but it doesn't look anything like what the form looks like. I am wondering if it is possible to PDF the submitted form to where it replicates the same format of what was filled in by the user?
I understand that you clicked the "Get PDF" link on the Submissions page to download a PDF copy of your submissions.
For you to be able to include texts and headers on your form on the submissions so the downloaded PDF would somehow look like the form itself, here's what you can do.
On the Submission page.
It would result to this:
If this is not what you're looking for, you can also try to add an Edit Submission link on your notification and use the Print Form button that's present on your form(when I checked it) to print the form with answers.
So when notification emails are received it will have this:
When you click the link, you will be able to see the answered form like this opened in a new browser window:
Then, use the Print Form button to print or download a PDF copy of your form.
Google Chrome offers a Printing option and/or Saving it as PDF instead when you click the Print Form button.
It would be great to be able to edit the PDF version of submissions as a group (so that they look more in line with the form), rather than having to do them individually through the edit link. Currently, if I print all the submissions as PDF each one is 4 pages long when it should only be two if it followed the same formatting of the form.
Unfortunately, we do not have the option to download the submission data in PDF form in group with the same display with the form. The only way to have a copy of the form in PDF with the same style of the form is, as suggested by my colleague, by using the Edit link. You can also try to do this in Submission Page. However, the PDF will still be individually downloaded.
If you want this feature in JotForm, we can escalate a feature request ticket for you. However, we cannot give you a time frame on when will this feature be implemented. Please confirm.
We will wait for your response.
