Form backgorund is not copied to PDF form.Asked by UTiDistribution on May 25, 2015 at 10:01 AM
I recently converted to Jotform from Adobe Form Central.
I need to convert my form to PDF for those clients that do not have the online facilities to complete the form online.
But once I convert my current form to PDF my background color is removed from my form and it turns into a boring black and white form.
Is there a way around this, so I can keep my current beautiful and colorful form?
I did change some of the form width options - can this contribute to this?
I understand you just created a fillable .pdf form from your original JotForm, however no background color was transferred.
Inside this guide you will find a step by step instruction as of how to achieve this:
I hope this information helps.
Thanks for the quick response.
I did follow these instructions to create my fillable PDF form. But this is also where my problem starts. Using this, my background disappears?
The grey part in the screenshot above should continue throughout the enitre form including the questions.
I did test your form and I am able to replicate the issue you are having. The background color of form was not transferred to PDF form. I also tested this issue on one o my own form and the issue persists.
One of our developer has already confirmed in this thread that not all form styles can be imported to PDF form but we are continuously working to improve our PDF form feature.
I will still go ahead and report this issue to our back end team. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update from them.
Due to complex architecture of PDF itself we cannot transfers everything from form to PDF version. We are working to improve current system but we may never satisfy your issue. Kindly i suggest you design fillable PDF forms in accordance with current tool. (e.g remove all backgrounds)
