How do you make the automated response work?

I created a form with an automated "Thank you" that I wrote.  The "thank you" is not being sent.  Is there a glitch in the program or am I doing something wrong?

I checked all of your three forms. None of them had an auto-responder setup. Are you sure you have set this up correctly?

1. Click on "Setup and Share" tab on the form builder toolbar
2. Click on "Email Alerts"
3. Click on "Add New Email"
4. Select "Autoresponder" option and complete the wizard.
