Under Quick Tools I'm using DateTime. Is it possible to automatically defaut a certain Month?Asked by CAPOULTRY on May 27, 2015 at 12:28 PM
I'm only using September and would like the calendar to automatically pop up September is this possible?
To change the default date, click on the date/time field in the form builder, then click on the "Default Date" tab:
Change the default date to whatever month you would like the calendar to popup to start with and it will automatically popup to that month.
If you have any further questions, just let us know and we will be happy thelp.
It's not letting use a custom date. I'm also using limits would this not allow me to use it?
There is some odd behavior with the field. Click on the field, then scroll all the way back up to the top of your form and click default date. You should then be able to change the default date for that field. It looks like the builder is showing the calendar for the default date at the very top of the form builder which it why you cannot see it when scroll down your form to your date field.
Ok… So that worked but still is not defaulting to the specific month once the calendar is clicked on.
I was able to understand the issue you were referring to.
Although you were already using custom date and default date is already OFF, when you use the field by clicking on it -- the pop up calendar widget is on the current date instead, not on the custom date.
In your form, the custom default date is 9-01-2015.. but when you now use the date field, the pop-up calendar is at 5-28-2015.
It makes it inconsistent when you wanted only to advance starting from the custom date.
The only workaround I found is to simply type manually the date on the date field box. You will be able to set a date this way.
I will submit a report to our higher team support to check on this. I don't think this is a bug, but actually how it currently works.
We will notify you for any update on this.
