Using Text-Only Email in Hide Empty Email Fields feature

I tried cloning my form, deleted all email notifiers, and used the default email template - but I changed to Text Mode - and ran the test. The blank fields came through. I take it this means I can't send text-only emails and use the hide blank fields feature? I can't send HTML emails to Lighthouse to create email-generated tickets, as it will just create a blank ticket template.

Please review also the user guide -How-to-Hide-Empty-Fields-on-Email-Alerts

Unfortunately the feature will NOT work for custom email template.

It will only work when using default email template.

Basically, if you will customize the email message template, it will remove the data lock, thus it will now stop the feature from working.

Hope this help. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Seriously, does anyone on your staff read the entire question before copy and pasting the canned response? I am well aware you can't edit the HTML template. My question is very simple: does the simple act of clicking on "Text Mode" disable hiding blank fields? Is Text Mode considered a "custom template" or not?

We apologize for any confusion. But as mentioned..

does the simple act of clicking on "Text Mode" disable hiding blank fields?

Yes it will disable the feature of hiding blank fields.

As mentioned "It will only work when using default email template."

Is Text Mode considered a "custom template" or not?

Yes. TEXT Mode is NOT the default mode of the Notifier.

I hope it is more clearer this time. Let us know if still not.

    Thanks.
