We recently imported our Adobe Forms Central forms to JotForm.  We have not yet linked our pages to forms on JotForm.

Could you assist me with what I can do so the user doesn’t see the page2 Promotion option “Club webpage notice? Joanie at

I found the below forum response by Bryan Paulo earlier this week. I tested his answer by first making a clone of the live form I wanted to edit by deleting an option from the Promotion options field on page 2: Club webpage notice. I completed the cloned form as a user, checking several options in the Promotion options field including the Club webpage notice. I submitted.

I checked that the response file included a request for the Club webpage notice.  Then I signed in and deleted that option from the Promotion options field. When I checked the cloned response file again, that deleted option was still showing in the response file.

But when I opened the original file Student Club Event Request and choose to delete the Club webpage notice, I received a message that it would change the previous responses.  So I did not continue.

Hi - I would like to make few amendments to my survey which has been live for some time. I wonder if any changes to my form will affect the earlier received survey takers' responses?

Thank you for your help in advance,

    Thank you for contacting us.

You can definitely edit the form while it is live. If you have given out the direct link to your form, changes will take effect as soon as you hit on save. If the form is embedded on a website using iframe however, you will need to re-embed the form's code to the website in order for the changes to take effect.

Previous data will not be affected if you made changes to your form. If the form was integrated with google spreadsheet however, you may need to disconnect and re-integrate to update the column headers.

Let us know if this answers your questions.

As far as I know, if you delete an option (not the entire field) it wouldn't affect your previous submissions, but if the modified field is a dropdown, radio button or checkbox field when you try edit the submission you'll see a blank value in them (instead of the original) since the option will not be available anymore.

You'll receive a warning if you want to delete a field that already have submissions associated with it because if you delete the field then the submitted information associated to that field will be erased too.

I hope this provides more clarity on this matter.

Please let us know if you've further questions.
