I need to get data entered in a website form into my FileMaker databaseAsked by paul on May 31, 2015 at 07:12 PM
I need to get data entered in a website form into my FileMaker database. There may be about 150 forms submitted per day. How can this be accoplished?
This is a re-post of a comment on How to send Submissions to Your MySQL Database Using PHP
Unfortunately we do not have any built in feature to send your form's submission data to your FileMaker DB.
One possible solution is to post your form's submission data to your own PHP page and then write your own code to insert data to FileMaker by taking advantage of its API.
Here are the steps you should follow:
#1. Create your form and set the preferences to send POST data. Please check the screenshot below:
#2. Set the "Custom URL" of your form's thank you option to redirect to your own page after the form is submitted. Please check the screenshot below:
The following guide should help you on how to post your form's submission data using your own custom thank you PHP page: https://www.jotform.com/help/213-Send-POST-Data-From-JotForm-Using-PHP-in-Custom-Thank-You-Page
