    Campos com a letra minúscula / How to make set characters as capital letters in form fields?

    Meus amigos

    Configurei o formulário conforme instruções de vocês, mas o campo e destaque não fica com a letra maiúscula.

    Por favor, o que fazer para ficar padrão ?

    Hello JCLAUDIO,

    I am sorry for the inconvenient this situation is causing you.

    In order to achieve this, please inject the CSS Code that follows:

    .form-textbox {
    text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    .form-textarea {
    text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    Mas quanto ao email, como fazer para ficar com letra maiúscula depois de digitado este campo, o mesmo campo informado, precisa fazer alguma outra configuração ?

    I just did a quick test to make sure that something would work and would be relatively easy to implement - or at least easier than in the link above and since it did, I wanted to share it with you.

    So this is what we should do is add the same CSS as above to our emails, but we must do it inline just to make sure that it is working properly so this is what we do:

    1. You should go to the email template that you would like to edit
    2. click on the HTML button in the toolbar

    Now, we will get all sorts of things and while it might be difficult to find what you are after at first, you will soon see that it is actually a rather quick way to do this.

    To help us, you can use the find option in your browser (usually F3 or Ctrl+F) and you can search for the field values that you want to correct (set to capital letters), by searching for the field tags.

    When we find it we change it from just:

    {textbox} to

    <span style="text-transform: uppercase;">{textbox}</span>

    Doing so, we set it to always be in uppercase.

    3. When that is all set and done, we can click on Update and have us a bit of fun :)
    4. Click on Finish to close the email wizard and make sure that the changes are saved.

    The only note to make here would be that emails altered like this would not add the new fields into the template by themselves, nor would be removed, so you would need to do this by yourself every time you add and/or remove a field from your jotform in order for it to show or not show at all.

    That is it, just click on Preview and test your form.

    Hi Ben

    Can <span style="text-transform:capitalize;">{textbox}</span> be used to set all text with initial capitals, e.g. scott to Scott,  (for the users that can't use the SHIFT key)

    That was a question I asked sometime ago and sadly I was told it was not possible, I suppose your answer will be try it ! I will await your reply just in case that the above code is incorrect.

    Yes, that's also possible.
    You just need to make sure you're using the right tag and it should work too.
