Preview and embedded form do not look same

Asked by jflaherty on November 22, 2011 at 05:26 PM

The fields in the embedded form are not where I placed them.  The display fine in the preview on JotForm but shift on the webpage so that it looks very messy.

If you could provide a screenshot of the previewed form I might be better able to advise you on how to get the live one to look like it. Incidentally, which preview were you referring to? There's one that can be viewed from the "My Forms" page and another while the form is loaded in the form builder. The former sometimes takes longer to update because it's served from our CDN (Content Distirbution Network).

The preview I mean is the one in the form builder - the icon next to the Save button.

It could be an issue with the width of your content div in your sites css.

Can you try changing that to the width of your form & see if you have any better success replicating the look of the form on your website?

    Thanks.

Sorry, scrap that, I believe this is some IE related issue in rendering CSS/HTML.

I will have a closer look at this this evening and let you know if there is anything we can do.

I have tested your webpage in IE8 and IE9 , Chrome & Firefox and see no issues with how the form is getting displayed.

Is it a particular browser that you are having this issue with?
