Conditions: Required at least one field out of twoAsked by sixtowns on June 05, 2015 at 05:18 AM
How do I set a rule that says at least one of these fields must be completed? If it is not the user gets a message to say ‘you must provide us with at least one telephone number’
We do not offer this feature directly in the Form Builder, but we can achieve this requirement by making both of these fields required, and than making another required field in which your customers will choose if they wish to provide only the first number, only the second one, or both.
Upon cloning your form to show a demo of this feature, I can see that you were on the right track for achieving this - you had a Drop Down offering the user whether to input a Mobile or Landline number. I have slightly changed these settings, I have user a Radio Button field:
I have made Both Landline and Mobile option selected by default:
Then, I have written the Conditions in a negative manner - if Landline is selected, hide Mobile. If Mobile is selected, hide Landline. This means that if none is selected, or the third option Both Landline and Mobile is selected, they will see both fields.
A cloned demo form with this feature can be seen here:
(You can clone it to take a closer look if you want to.)
Please let us know if you need further help or assistance with this, we will be happy to help.
