Position multiple fields on the same lineAsked by williamsreg on June 07, 2015 at 07:41 PM
Very frustrating software to use. I'm only here because of FormsCentral begin phased out. Spent the whole day learning the sotware. It's very erratic and does things you don't expect. It wodl be nice if the view of the form builder is the same as the preview. Sometime it is vastly different.
Still cannot figure out how the user can CONTROL the placement of two (or 3) fields on the same line. The User Guide tries to help but really you should test it with people who have limited experience with your software and get their feedback. The cursor moves at a rapid pace and is extremely hard to follow thus making it virtually useless. I designed several forms on Forms Central and hardly used the user guide. I have no choice but to learn to use the tool or cancel my subscription and find another provider. I will stick with this but it would be nice for future users if you did something about your user guide and videos.
This is a re-post of a comment on How to position fields in JotForm
First off, we thank you for choosing Jotform. We greatly appreciate it.
We understand that you are having difficulties positioning fields on the same line, so let us please assist you with this the best we can. I think the guide is perfect by the way but I understand that you want short and concise guide so here I have created a short screencast just now that shows how to position fields on the same line using shrink option, resizing the fields and expanding the form width to accommodate fields on the same line.
We also have widgets that are designed for multiple column fields.
If you still have questions or if you need further assistance, do let us know.
