Imported Show-Hide Conditions from FormsCentral work differently than on AFC

    Hi,

This is in response to a conversation on the message board. http://www.jotform.com/answers/582748-Adobe-Forms-migration

The forms look good on jot form, which is certainly a positive, but the rules are not migrating properly. This is really important to us. Do you have anyway of making this work?

    With: https://adobeformscentral.com/?f=h1AhawK0azvsidazdaDL5A&preview

    Many thanks,

    Richard

    Hello Richard.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience. According to the blog post by our higher ups, the feature of importing Adobe FormsCentral conditional rules into JotForm has already been implemented, but it seems to not work in your specific case as it was designed.

I can see the difference between the forms, and I will raise this as a bug report to our developers.

As a workaround, I would suggest that you please try re-creating your Conditional Logic rules to Show/Hide fields based on selections that you want them to.

I can see that the way rules have been imported, it tries to "Show" fields based o selections, but by default - all fields are shown on JotForm forms. So the rules should rather be written such as:

"If this condition is met, then hide that field".

Can you please try re-writing the rules in this manner, and let us know if you need further help. Our developers will let you know through this thread if this is something that they can fix on our end, so that the conditions are imported more faithfully even in cases where rules are written like yours are.

    Thank you.

    Hello Richard,

My colleague Boris is right about his assumptions. We made some improvements, however inevitably there are differences between JotForm's and FormsCentral's logic conditions.

Please check our conditional rule guides to edit imported rules as your needs. And please don't hesitate to ask any questions to our Support Team.

    Have a nice day!
