Hi, I am trying to find a way to attach a PDF to the automatic email responder in JotForm. The pdf contains instructions to the person filling out the form, but we don't want to share the instructions until they submit the form. I was able to embed them in the popup after the form is submitted. However, I want the person to get an email with the information either as text in the email or as a pdf attached. That way they will have the information in a month when they will need it.

    Thanks,

    Linda

    Hi,

These file attachments you wish to send, are they the same for everybody? If yes you can edit the auto-responder email and insert the link of the files. It is necessary to host the files online as the auto-responders only accept direct links, and not files attached.

It is not possible to attach a file directly to your submission email.  The file needs to be hosted somewhere online so that it has a specific location that it can be downloaded each time.  You can upload your PDF to a service like Google Drive or Dropbox for free.  You would then use the link provided for your uploaded file as your document download link.

I have uploaded my pdf to my Google Drive account and copied the link; however, it does not let me post the link in the advanced settings.  I want to have the pdf file (or a link to it) emailed to them upon submission of their form.  Can you help?
