    "Get PDF" and "Forward" button not working on iPad devices

    It would be great for us if the GET PDF button and the email forward button worked on an iPad. They currently do not.  Our those features you can work on getting to work on the iPad?  The layout of the GET PDF button is much better than the print button for printing out the form submissions in the field.  I don't know if you realize it but the mobile field tech business can be a very big market for you.  We have our technicians using iPads, but unfortunately there are several parts of the form system that do not work on iPads. We would love it if we one day could customize how our submissions print out in pdf or print format.  Field technicians rely on reports printing properly and effectively for there customers in the field.  Right now we do not like the reports layout that come from the print menu.  Very basic and not very functional for the way we would like the info to appear to our customers in the field when we print.  As I said, you may not realize the needs of more customized print layout option and functionality that cam work for the mobile business.  Mobile business is growing huge so this is something I hope you are aware of.

    Please disregard my previous response. I totally misunderstood the issue.

    Let me try again on the "Get PDF" button on the Submissions Page instead.

    I was able to make it work on my Android device.

    As I mentioned previously, I could not personally test it on an iPad since I do not have the device. But as far as I know, it should work similarly as to what I was able to do on my Android device.

    Can you share to me a screenshot on how it is on your iPad? was there any error that stop it from working?

    P.S.

    I will also seek assistance from my colleague that have iPad and let them test the feature.

    Ok, let me know. On our iPad end the GET PDF and the button to FORWARD submission do not work.  The GET PDF button doesn't respond and the FORWARD submission button stalls and does nothing.

    Hi,

    I was able to replicate the problem on a iOS emulator.

    In the screencast below, nothing happens when I click the "Get PDF" button, while the "Forward" button just loads.

     

    I'll forward this to our developers to have it checked. We'll update you as soon as we get news on this.

    Charlie, that would be great to have those two iPad functionality issues fixed.

    One the BIG issue is we also noticed that on an iPad when after we edit an existing submission, and then press the Submit Button , that nothing happens. The submit button does not submit the edit. CAN YOU ADVISE ON THAT AS WELL?

    Also any word on the possible development of more layout customization capabilities for when we print our submissions.  What is a bit different about us, is that we submit our own inspection jotforms in the field as mobile technicians and these submissions need to be output as nice looking inspection reports for our clients. Right now the layout customization options are very limited.
