I have now twice submitted forms, been redirected to paypal, paid the money, gotten a paypal receipt (both buyer and seller), but in jotforms it still shows up as a pending submission. What am i doing wrong???
Please see the attached screenshot showing the completed transaction in paypal.
Update: I have just tried a third time using the standalone jotform as well as the embedded form and no success... still shows up as an "incomplete payment"!!!

I believe you need to enable the Instant Payment Notification. Without this feature enabled, Jotform does not receive the confirmation from Paypal that payment was successful, resulting in incomplete payments.

You can also enable the option to receive notifications even when the payment is not complete:
