So this functions is only for the form itself and can not be done on the dashboard at all - correct?
My purpose here is this: to make it so 5 viewers of the form results can rate the response from the form on the dashboard.
My Solution using these tools: Each Response is viewed and rated by each judge - the calculation field is recalculated each time and the form is submitted by each judge with each new calculation.
End result each response has a a calculated rating on the dashboard.
Will this work?
This is a re-post of a comment on How to Perform Form Calculation Using a Widget
You are correct. Calculations only work within the form itself. Though you can have the ability to set calculation values to fields within the form, there is not currently a way to allow for rating submissions from the dashboard. To add additional data, you would need to edit the submission itself.
You could, however, have a hidden portion of the form with a judges rating section. This would be separated from the regular form using form collapses and hiding them based a code entered into a text box in the form:
Then send the link to edit the form to all the judges when each submission is completed:
Here is a quick test form to show you what the judges section would look like:
You can clone it to see the full setup:
Other than a workaround such as that, it is not possible to have judges rate submissions.
