Google Drive links for images are not working in Image Slider widget

Hi,

I publicly shared an image on Google Drive so that anyone with link can view it. Then I copied the address into the slider, but it doesn't show. It's a png size 600px by 100px, and I made the slider larger than that just to test it out. Here's what my properties page looks like:

Does it have something to do with the link being HTTPS:?

Looks like the URL you have specified in the Image Slider is not a valid image URL. I checked the URL and this is what appeared.

I got this URL form accessing the URL you specified, then right-click the image and click Copy Image URL. See screenshot below.

First, thanks for replying. I tried the link you supplied, but I get a Google permission error, so apparently that 's not going to work.

That image of the phrase is exactly what I want to appear. This is for some research in linguistics. What I'm attempting to do is have a blank image first, and then when the research participant clicks on the slider, the phrase appears. Just until I got the bugs worked out, I didn't throw the blank image up there, but now I have both to see if I can get this to work. I've tried both jpg and png formats (png would be better), but neither is happy. Also, the image is 600x100 and that's what I have for the settings.

Google Drive sharing links and those without the correct extension won't work. Our image slider widget cannot parse that one. You have to upload the image somewhere where you can get a valid extension. The links should end with the extension such as .png or .jpg or .jpeg.
