MailChimp welcome email not being sent(?)

    Dear JotForm,

    I have a contact form on my website which submits to MailChimp list via a JotForm integration. I checked the "Send Mailchimp Welcome Email" setting, but I don't think the welcome email is actually being sent. What's going wrong?

    If I am understanding you correctly you are saying that you are not receiving any emails from MC after integrating it with your embedded jotform.

    I checked and if I am correct it appears you are having the mentioned issue on this form here, correct?

    From what I can see so far your MailChimp Integration appears to be set up properly. Have you tried checking your spambox in your email account?

    Additionally, I checked the same on a separate test and I can confirm after testing this further that it appears that there may be an issue somewhere since I did not receive the email like normal either but I could be wrong therefore I will need time to investigate the problem deeper. As soon as I know something more about this matter I'll update you later on as soon as possible.

    Well, I did some digging and found that our integration is sending the data there as it should so I don't think its an issue on our end since we are starting and sending the information normally.

    I started poking around in MailChimp and it seems from what I recall it used to send the welcome email but I think that changed possibly. I found it appears that you now have to subscribe to use their automated email system which as the notice I got shows it involves subscribing, welcoming, and recurring, Etc.

    Thank you for the quick and extensive response!

    Could it be an issue with DNS/nameservers not being set up correctly? Because the DNS email records were incorrect.

    Also, yesterday, someone signed up and they did get the email confirmation, so perhaps it is working correctly after all.

    You are welcome.

    If you are using a custom email address for the outgoing emails, I think it's not a problem with DNS because as far as I know, MailChimp will use their own server for your email. 

    This could also be related to your client's spam filter. If they set to reject emails from unknown contact, the welcome email will bounce back or go to their spam folder. Maybe, you should advise them to check.

    Lastly, in your List settings, try checking "Send a final welcome email". I think that should help:
