JotForm is a free online form builder which helps you create online forms without writing a single line of code. No sign-up required.
We believe that if one user has a question, there could be more users who may have the same question. This is why many of our support forum threads are public and available to be searched and viewed. If you’d like help immediately, feel free to search for a similar question, or submit your question or concern.
To implement FTP integration into your form, please follow this guide: How-to-Enable-FTP-on-Form-Submissions.
When it comes to delaying the thank you page to be shown only after the FTP upload is finished, I'm afraid that we do not have such an option available. We show the thank you page when the file has been submitted to JotForm, we then try to forward the file to your FTP server as well, but this does not block the submissions process - which results in redirection of your users to a thank you page.
What you could do on your end, is to set up your own custom PHP thank you page, and capture the submitted data.
Then, you would need to check on your own server if/when the files have been received on your FTP, and then you would redirect your users to their final thank you page. I'm afraid that it is a little involved, but it is achievable if you are comfortable with PHP coding and querying your FTP server for files.
Thank you for the information. Send post data is interesting for me.
Can we also send the file uploaded in 1st form to the thank you page and read it there? for example the url where the file is stored can be read on thank you page.
Example would help.
The scenario I have is:
form 1: this has a upload control and a submit button.
when submit button is clicked it redirects to form 2:
On form 2: I want to display the location of uploaded file to download.
If Send Post Data Method is used, I'm sure that is possible. I cannot present you an example for now, but if you need help with it, please let us know here.
thanks a lot. Will give it a try.
