Showing the value of text field in submissions for excel download reports

Asked by alicekb on June 19, 2015 at 01:43 AM

I was wondering whether it is possible to show the value of a text field in submissions?

To clarify I do not mean showing the value in text field in notification emails as per http://www.jotform.com/answers/394111-Showing-the-value-of-text-field-in-notification-emails

I want to be able to pull an excel download and have the text field come up in one the columns along with the user entry fields as well. I did try putting the value in the text field for notifications, but that did not pull through when I downloaded the submissions into excel.

Could you provide us some samples of what you meant?

If I understand you correctly, you want to show the value of the "Text" fields, I assume you are referring to the static text, which are not input fields?

Unfortunately, these are not input fields that is why they do not show in the excel file, there' no value to hold but rather a fixed text. However, these text, headers and images can show up in your submissions only in PDF report, you can check it here: http://www.jotform.com/help/305-How-to-show-headers-or-text-for-contracts-terms-agreements-in-the-PDF-format-of-a-submission.

Let us know if I misunderstood your concern.

    Thank you.
