Q: What is the maximum file size that my client can upload?

A: For Premium or Professional accounts, the the total combined size of files per upload cannot exceed 1 GB. The figure for Free accounts is 100 MB since such accounts only have that amount of storage. The following examples assume that the accounts have nothing stored in them at the outset:

(Refer to our Pricing page and use this conversion tool as you go through the examples)

    Example 1

A user uploads files totalling 1 GB via a form belonging to a Proffessional account. Since such accounts have 1 TB of storage, upon submission of the form the account would have 1023 GB of space left. (1 TB = 1024 GB; 1024 - 1 = 1023)

    Example 2

A user uploads files totalling 1 GB via a form belonging to a Premium account. Since such accounts have 10 GB of storage, upon submission of the form the account would have 9 GB of space left.

    Example 3

A user uploads files totalling 100 MB via a form belonging to a Free account. Since such accounts have 100 MB of storage, upon submission of the form the account would have no space left.

In each instance, deleting the submissions would restore the available space.

Q: What [is] the maximum number of files my client can upload at a time?

A: There is no limit. If you want to provide users with the ability to upload more than one file per submission, place a multi-upload button on the form, click the Allow Multiple button after inserting the upload field and save the form. (The text on the button can be changed to suit. See emrew86's reply in this thread.)

Q: What [is] the maximum number of file upload fields that I can add [per form]?

A: Here again, there is no limit. However, unless each field is for a specific purpose, it would be better to provide a single multi-upload button instead of several regular ones. By "specific purpose" I'm referring to scenarios where different questions would be associated with different buttons. For instance, one section of the form might be to upload curriculum vitae while another might be for uploading music files. But that is not to say that multi-upload buttons cannot simultaneously accept different file types because they most certainly can. To control what types of files can be uploaded via both regular and multi-upload buttons, click the upload field in question and then the Extensions button, make the required changes, click "OK" and save the form.
