When editing a submitted answer, it seems the hidden fields become visible. Can we change that?

    My requirement is to be able to detect modified submissions.

    There are no emails sent, the submission date is not updated in the result list and when I add a hidden auto filled date field (e.g. "Last update field"), it is displayed in the edit page and also not automatically updated on edit. Is there a way to do what I want?

    Hi Pierre,

    Hidden fields are visible only when you edit the submission in the form submissions page. The hidden fields won't appear in the EDIT Link.

    Also, when a submission is modified, we will automatically send you an email with the modified data. The prefix "EDIT" will be added in the subject line of the email.

    As for the date field, the date will remain the same since that is a field and is not a system generated data, but not unless you will manually modify it.

    The submission date will also remain the same. I think, for now, the EDIT email should allow you to know when the submission is modified. 

    This guide https://www.jotform.com/help/208-How-to-setup-email-alerts-to-prevent-email-bouncing-related-issues should help you troubleshoot the email related problems. If noreply@jotform.com won't work and if you can't whitelist us for some reason, the SMTP method is recommended. All of these are added in the given guide.

    By the way, I think having a "Last Edit Date" section in the form submissions page is a good idea. If you can create a new thread for that, we'd be happy to send it to our developers as a feature request.

    I created the thread as suggested, as I think the email is not sufficient to track updated answers.
