Retrieve Direct Download Link

    Hello,

    Is it possible to (well, I'm sure it is possible, but how can I) have a direct download link automatically retrieved, and perhaps posted as the "Thank You" message, right after a successful file upload to Dropbox ?

    I hope my question is clear enough.
    I haven't got much programming experience, and know nothing of the Dropbox API.

    Somewhat relatedly (though perhaps I should make another topic), can JotForm be made to create the "JotForm" folder within the public folder, or does Dropbox API not allow that ?

    It should be obvious what I'd like, is to be able to use JotForm to upload files to Dropbox that will be downloadable / accessible by anyone.

    Cheers.

    hi the app settings either allow access to the entire account or create a folder and use it to carry out the apps purpose. Jotform uses the second so you would need to move the files to public and genarate the link their. You might be able to move the folder into public but the links are genarated by Dropbox and not by Jotform.So, No You could publize files individully and copy links but i dont think that is what you wantedhope this helps

    @ctrx, I have made the necessary changes in your thank you message. I simply copied the {uploadFile} string from youe email notification and pasted it into your Thank You Message. Please check if it works for you. The Dropbox-JotForm integration is hard coded and cannot be modified (the JotForm folder cannot be transferred to your DropBox Public folder).

    Sorry thought you wanted a copy of the filled out form fields.

    Ignore my post.

    @JotForm Support - thanks, I tested it out just now, and it seems to only partly work.

    It shows the correct filename, but the link is broken, and points only to "http://submit.jotform.com/%3Ca%20target="_blank" href="

    It displays something like :

    Thank You!
    Your submission has been received.
    [filename]">click here to open uploaded file

    Could you please try to pase the code below to your custom Thank You page. Just make sure that you're in HTML mode. Let us know how it goes this time.

    <p>&nbsp;</p>

    <div style="text-align: center;">

    <h1>Thank You!</h1>

    </div>

    <div style="text-align: center;">Your submission has been received.</div>

    <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: #f9f9f9;"> <a target="_blank" href="{uploadFile}" > click here to open uploaded file </a></span></div>

    Hi,

    I am trying to do the same thing as CTRX, so I did a direct copy-paste of the HTML code you provided.  The "thank you" message I now see reads as this:

    Thank You!
    Your submission has been received.
    [filename]" > click here to open uploaded file

    Although the filename is linked, it does not open the file (it gives a "404 Not Found" error).  Thanks for your help!
