How can I get my configurable list to calculate to the calculation field?

Asked by shountilez on June 28, 2015 at 11:25 AM

I have chosen the configurable list. I need the list to calculate using one of the fields in the list. What do I need to do to get the configurable list to add calculation to the calculation field?

I would like to apologize. Unfortunately, this is not possible within JotForm. There can be a workaround to pass the value of the first drop-down on your Configurable List widget but since there is an Add button on the widget, the value of the second, third, fourth etc... drop down that is added is already hard to get. As what I've checked you have set the maximum rows of the Configurable List widget to unlimited. If you will check this form: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/51785040919965

The calculation is correct only for the first row but when you started to add another row that's where the conflict is.

Actually the value of the Configurable List widget in text or string is like this:

    [{"First Name":"","Last Name":"","Drop down":null,"Drop down #2":"20.00"},{"First Name":"","Last Name":"","Drop down":null,"Drop down #2":"20.00"}]

You will notice that there are 2 First Name, 2 Last Name 2 Drop down and 2 Drop Down#2. Because this is from a two row Configurable List widget. Meaning, this depends on the number of rows added on the widget.

We need every value of Drop Down #2 and get its total then pass it on the Calculation field on your form. You can try to hire a developer and see if they can try to work with the JSON format above to get the total of each drop down in the Configurable List widget then add it on the Calculation field value.

    Thank you.
