Redirecting to a Google Sheet using a value submitted in the form

Asked by TerryPillinger on June 30, 2015 at 03:13 AM

Hello, can you advise if the following can be done please,

I have a text field in my form called Agentid, this is the unique id for an agent that is passed to Google sheet so they they can only see the sales and letting board status's  belonging to them.

the url link that have put in the thank you message to re-direct to the sheet using the id is below

    https://spreadsheets.google.com/tq?tqx=out:html&tq=SELECT A,B,C,D WHERE C='agentid20'&key=1Ng2cAqrSr1uVQArb_bwgTuslvQlyeF5zcRtmhcTfGGY

I have tried wrapping the textbox id as above and with [] and {}, but all return an error message.

First of all is this possible and if so what is the correct syntax to do this?

or can this be done with your reports?, I really don't mind which data source I can do this with, but is pinnacle that agents can only see their own data

Any help or alternative suggestions would be really helpful

    Kind Regards

    Ian

    Hi Ian,

It looks like not possible in the Custom Thank You URL settings. It worked when you add the string and hyperlink it in the Thank You Message page (3rd option):

They can access the data in the thank you message page. This should work.

Or, you can also just create an autoresponder email: https://www.jotform.com/help/26-Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder and add the string in the email body. Then they can click the link from the email right after they submit the form.

    Thanks
