Field Manager: cloned Payment Tool does not retain its product listAsked by intchina on July 02, 2015 at 03:32 PM
Hi, I re-designed my Payment field (Paypal) in a separate form that I created for that purpose, and then saved, tested functionality and initiated Field Manager app to delete the original Payment manager and clone the new one into my pre-existing JotForm form.
However, even though the Field Manager is showing the change, when I click on "Open in JotForm", the target form is being shown without any changes.

Forms can only have one payment field. If you are trying to clone the field to the form and there is already a payment field in the form you are trying to clone it to, it will not allow you to add the field. If you want to clone a payment field to your form, you need to first delete the one that is present. Then you can go to the field manager app and clone the field to your form.
If this still does not work, let us know the forms you are working with and we will be happy to see what else we can do.
What I am trying to do:
1. Delete Payment field from Form 2,
2. Clone Payment field from Form 1,
3. Put cloned payment field from Form 1 into Form 2 in place of the deleted payment method.
1. All of the above was performed in Field Manager app, but the actual Form 2 remained unchanged.
I deleted the original payment method via the Field Manager prior to cloning, so, there could not have been an issue with multiple payment fields.
But post-cloning the original payment method remained in Form 2, and the new payment method was not there.
I went into Form 2 and manually deleted the payment method, then re-cloned the new payment method from the other form, but now when I go into the target form, there are NO payment methods there at all.
The forms I am talking about are the only ones edited on Jul 2, 2015.

I would like the issue resolved, but I am recreating the payment form manually in Form 2 since I can not leave the form on my website without a payment option at all.
Thank you for your report. I could confirm in my testing that when the Payment Tool is moved from one form to another, it does not retain its product list. I have tested moving/cloning a configured Payment Tool with our Field Manager app into a blank form, and the product list wasn't there in the new form.
I have raised this issue to our developers, so that they can take a look. We can't give you any estimate on when or if the issue might be resolved, so it would be best if you could create your desired product list in your form manually.
