Can i do something to make the slider slide in touch screens?

I want to use the form on a mobile app but the touch, especialy of the slider widgets, dont work very well. Its possible to make it better?

I already saw that post but i thought there would be a better solution.

I'm looking for a seamless mobile experience and it wont do that. No one likes doing forms and slides are a more interesting way of inserting data but if slides wont work properly in touch devices, it wont be a solution.

You can try exploring the numeric slider, perhaps this will react more better to touch input.
