Is tehre any way to enter data directly on the submission without editing the form

I was able to go to the received form and enter notes in the hidden text boxes using the "edit" function but when the form with the notes is saved it generates a new notification email.

Is there any way to enter data directly on the submissions spreadsheet without editing the form?  We use the notes fields to add a number to the request and to make status notes as we work on the request.

There are 2 ways you can fill in the field without the need to edit the form.

Second, let me apologize for my lack of clarity.  I will try to clarify my quesiton:

We are an insurance company. www.njticservice.com

We are using a website to facilitate the filing of claims by our policyholders.

We are using JotForm to have the claimant provide the information and documents we need to evaluate their claim.

Jotform shows the results in a "submissions" spreadsheet page.

We would like to have the ability to create columns for our use in adding status infomation for our use after the form has been received, e.g. claim numbers, current status etc.

I have created the necessary columns on the submissions form by adding several "hidden" text boxes on the claim form that is on the website.  This works find.

Here is the problem: We can't enter any information directly into the pertinent row and column cell on the submissions form.  The workaround that I have come up with is going to the received form and using the "Edit" function to add the information, e.g. claim number or "denied" in one of the hidden boxes. The problem with the workaround is that the only way to save the entry is to use the "Submit" button which sends a new email "notification" to the folks at my company.

I'm looking for a solution, i.e. either a direct entry onto the submissions sheet or the ability to use the edit/submit alternative in a way that doesn't generate a new notification.  

I also looked at changing the "notifications" rule for data added to the "hidden" text boxes but there is no "do not send" option.

The test form have the following feature

1. On 1st submission it will send a Notification 

2. But Editing Submission will NOT send Notification anymore.

There is an Email condition on the form.

How you can fill in the hidden fields without the end user being able to do so? -- Use the EDIT Submission in Submission page

3. The original submission  will hide the hidden fields -- so, they are empty by default.

4. To be able to reveal the hidden fields, change the E-mail field to the value "support@jotform.com" (to satisfy the condition rules)

5. Once hidden fields are revealed, fill in with data. Set back the E-mail field to the original email address value (in the example it should be back to jonathan@jotform.com).

This will hide again the hidden fields. Even if hidden, the hidden field will now still contain the data.

6. Submit the form. Since the checkbox "Edited" is already set to "Yes", the Notification email will NOT be sent anymore due to the condition email that it will only be sent if "Edite" is NO/Empty.
