Why are *required items not working?

Hi am using a form on astonwells.com 'apply for finance' and I have set fields as *required but users are able to submit without having to fill in form completely?

I just tested your form, and you are correct, the required validation is bypassed, I think it has to do with a code conflict with the jquery libraries in your page:

I would recommend you to remove the form, and re-embed it using the iFrame code: https://www.jotform.com/help/148-Getting-the-Form-iFrame-Code

Once you get it, before embedding it in your site, paste it in a text editor like the WordPad, and only copy the iFrame part then embed it, example:
