Can I use form field tags to access sub-fields of a matrix?

I know I can use form fields to access submitted information in an auto-generated email (ie fullName:first when used with a full name field would give me the first name) but how can I access each sub-field in a matrix? I know that in a URL I can use matrix[0][0] to pre-populate but that is NOT what I'm looking for. I need to know how to get to each of the cells on a matrix when I send an email.

I've put in an example form to show what I mean. None of the tags in the email work currently.

    Hi,

I'm currently making some test on how to get the values on the Matrix field, unfortunately, I'm still unable to make it work in my end.

I'll try to research more and see if we can get it.

However, I have a workaround that you can use. Currently, you can now select specific fields on the Matrix field and output it on a form calculation widget. Here's a guide on that: http://www.jotform.com/help/343-How-to-perform-form-calculation-using-the-Matrix-Field-

You can then just hide that form calculation widget field but use it instead in the email notification template.

Let us know if you want some step by step on that workaround.

    Thank you.

Thanks! I hadn't thought about a work around like this but it makes perfect sense. I'll try to get it working here when I have a second.
