    {Edit Link} on a Payment enabled form?

Asked by bikemonkey on December 02, 2011 at 12:26 AM

I have a form that I'm working on that collects information about an event participant and then allows them to choose one of multiple options with different prices using Authorize.net.

I would like to include an {Edit Link} in the autoresponder. However when I do that, there doesn't seem to be a way of letting the participant actually edit their personal information without fully processing an additional payment.

Is there a way for the {Edit Link} to enable my customers to edit some information without paying AGAIN for the same product when all I really want them to be able to do is modify something such as their T-Shirt size?

    Hello,

Can you share to us the form in issue?  From what I have observed from payment forms, this should not go back to the payment gateway, but should go directly to the thank-you page once the form is for editing the submission (either from the auto-responder or from the email notification).

    We'll wait for your response.

Here is an example...  When I open the edit link I am still shown the payment form, and I cannot update anything without making another payment. I would like people to be able to make changes without having to pay again.

I had considered that maybe the edit link URL contains an additional parameter (GET variable) that the form uses to determine whether or not to display the payment form. Is that how I should go about solving this?

Thank you for these details, bikemonkey.

Is it possible if you can share with us the edit link that was sent so we can check?

I will also forward this concern to the development team and let them take a look at this matter.  They will respond to this as soon as they are available.

    Thank you for your patience.
