Height of form based on hidden boxes

I have created a form that I put in an iframe. When putting that iframe inside my webpage the height of it is set to some number (1000 px for example).

Now, the visible part of the form is 500 px. So the remaining 500 px is just background. I guess what happens is that iframe says "ok, the visible + hidden part takes up 1000 px", but I really just want it to take up 500 px.

Is this expected behavior?
