    Hi

I need help with adding quantities to check lists and radio buttons.

I have created a product order form using check lists and radio buttons, and require some products to have a quantity option which multiplies the calculation price by the quantity - I dont know how to do this without a purchase order form! Please help !

This seems connected to your other thread here: http://www.jotform.com/answers/611738

But since this is related to just quantities, I would suggest replying here about this and have the other things resolved on that other thread.

Basically to add a quantity it would be best to use either dropdown or the spinner field. Then just add it in the form calculation as the multiplier.

A simple example is made here:

    http://form.jotformpro.com/form/51965798887989

This requires quite a lot of setup and trial and error, for example, if we add the conditions to show and hide the fields as they are selected, that means that we are altering the layout of the page and as such we would get something that behaves like this:

http://form.jotformpro.com/form/51965034838968 (try checking checkboxes from the top to the bottom (all of them), now try to have only some checkboxes selected and you will see what I mean.

So my suggestion would be to have it as on the form 1, but there is one catch here as well, and that is that checkboxes can be used to select several options, so that would make it very hard to do the math properly, so it would require that you either use the radio buttons where quantity is asked for and checkboxes where it is not, or have the dropdown / spinner field with the calculated pricing already in their calculations value, so the options selected do not play as important part - we get everything from the quantity field.

This would however require that there are conditions on your jotform that would check if the option is selected and the value in the quantity is not 0.

Hi Ben, yes I have just replied on the other thread before seeing this! That form 1 looks absolutely ideal, how is it achieved? As in, how is it used on the form calculator and is it possible to add it to my current checkboxes (as we have over 100 conditions specified, it would save a lot of time not having to clear and re-do each individual checkbox)

    Best, Tom.

Is this the form you want to add quantities on? - http://www.jotformeu.com/form/51934424452353

Its going to be quite a feat adding quantity input fields for each of the options -

    However, here are the steps:

    1. For each checkbox and radio button option, you need to add a drop-down field - then you can add a range of quantities :

    2. This is the tricky part - Using Custom CSS, getting the dropdown fields to display right beside the checkbox options - you might need some help here, depending on which option on your form needs the quantity fields

    3. Using the Form Calculation Widget, you can factor dropdown with the values you have configured in each radiobutton/checkbox field.

It will help more if we can demonstrate.

Please confirm if this is the form you want to add quantities on - http://www.jotformeu.com/form/51934424452353

Then tell us which questions/form fields you need quantities for - and we will do a demo for one field, which will make it easier for you to replicate it on other fields.

    Looking forward.

Thank you, perfect. I am on UK GMT so I believe I am 6hours ahead of you guys - making our time that co-incides quite short! However I would love to have help with aligning the spinner field to the checkboxes, please if you could guide how you do this then I believe all my questions have been answered, thank you!

Actually Tom, that is correct for some of my colleagues, but I am in Europe with you, so we are practically on the same timeline ;)

Now I would be happy to assist just as all of my colleagues would as well, but please do note that when you open several threads in regards to the same question / issue, it only adds a bit of confusion and requires time to go over all of them to see what is the form and what exactly you are after.

It is easy to understand this from this thread only, but as my colleague is already working on providing you with the answer to the same question on this thread: http://www.jotform.com/answers/612726 please do continue further discussion in regards to this on that single thread only.

    Thank you.
