Field values are not copied into another field

    Hello,

Please take a look at the conditions of this form.  The value of Main Activity on the first page should be copied at the top of all next pages. Rather than copying this text, a zero is displayed.

The value of Activity Components #1 thru #4 should be copied into a box on one of the next pages.  When they contain text this is not copied but a zero is displayed, and sometimes nothing at all.

Anticipating that you'd suggest to clear the forms cache: I did that, to no avail.

The problem appears in Chrome, Firefox and Opera.

    Kind regards,

    Nathan Moked

    Hi,

From what I can tell, you are trying to have multiple conditional statements populate a single field with multiple statements.  Unfortunately, this is not possible.  Only the most recent condition that is check will be the one displayed.  If you need all the field data updated into a single field, you would need to create a single condition and include all the fields you would like to update into the final field in that single condition.  Then have that long single statement update the final field once.

I believe some of those are different, but if multiple conditions are pointing to the same field, that is likely the cause.

My apologies, I did some more testing and I was incorrect.  You setup is proper it is merely missing one thing, adding the field to the equation as text:

This is under the "Advanced Options" for the condition.  This should allow for the "0" value to be replaced by the text.

    Hello David,

Thanks for your reply. I did as you suggested. Unfortunately, the result is the same as before.

    Hello Nathan,

Please be noted that just enabling the "Add field equation as text by default" will not be sufficient. You need to first delete the field from the condition wizard and add it again. The field name should be displayed in black instead of orange color. Please check the screenshot below for the steps you need to follow:

Once the "Add field equation as text by default" check box is checked, the field name added will always be displayed in black. If it is in orange color, the output will always be numeric.

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

That was very helpful, thank you.

Now these fields are updated correctly.
