Is there a "running total" option that can be used to calculate a total amount due?

On some forms, there are multiple camp sessions with different prices, and other option such as housing with different pricing. We need a way to show or calculate the running total so the user can see the total amount.

 

If I have understood you correctly, you are looking to get the total of several different forms to show to your user?

Or are you having several forms, that you would like to add the option to show the total of a single form to your end user?

I ask since the first would not be possible, but if you are looking to show the total of a single form, that is possible and we can help you set it up.

In that case, it would be best to let us know what is the form where you have these fields so that we can take a look at better understand what you are after.

The subtotal would be for choices made on the same form. For example there may be several camp sessions which are different prices, or other options (such as housing) which are selected by the registrant. I haven’t started building this form in Jot yet, I will be trying to duplicate some forms that we already have in SiteMason (our current form-builder). If you have any instructions on this, it would be helpful.

If I understand your description correctly, yes, this is possible with JotForm. Our recommended way to achieve this is to use one of our Payment Tools, and set them up to contain your various products / camp sessions with differing prices.

This should be enough to create very complex order forms with many different products and sub-products, and it shows the total directly on the Payment Tool. Even more complex setups are possible if you are using Form Calculations, and passing custom calculated values to your Payment Tool, but the form you are after should be possible with just our Payment Tool.
