Collecting passwords guidenceAsked by Unichoices on July 18, 2015 at 10:55 AM
I would like to embed a jotform on my website that site visitors will use to register to become a full member of my website. For this I would like to collect their email, a password for their account with my website (not their email password) as well as some other basic demographic data.
Please can you let me know if this is at all possible? I am a little confused with your terms of service which would suggest that there is no way of doing this. Please can you tell me what you recommend/what other have done in this situation.
As stated in our terms that is not possible with our system since we do not allow login forms or any of the sort that would generate emails + passwords together or apart for this purpose.
We consider that to be phishing even if it is used for the purpose you say it is because regardless it is still a risk since it involves the usage of what we consider to be sensitive information.
Doing so would result in the suspension of your account for violating our Terms of Usage.
