Is it possible to merge / attach all uploaded files to the single PDF of submission?

    Dear Support,

Firstly, congratulations for the service provide and the efort in the development.

I am nnewbie on jotform and yet, amazed, and I have a challenge for you:

Suppose I have application form collecting data and 4 differents file types to be uploaded.

Once this is done, I am using the Google Drive connector, which is working gracefully.

If the files is jpg image file it is automatically merged into the applicant-response, which is great. But the same does not happens if the file is a pdf type.

    The questions is:

    1) Can those 4 uploaded files be merged into the unique applicant-response, not just the jgp, but also all the pdf files?

    2) In a 2nd phase and using a different form, the payment receipt must be provided by the applicant. Can this receipt (jpg or pdf) be added/merged into the same applicant-response file and it was created before, int the item 1? Or at least into the same folder?

    3) In a 3rd phase and yet with a different form, the applicant must provide a report (word or pdf). And again, can this be added at the sama applicant-response file  from item 1? Or at least into the same folder?

If I have understood you correctly, you want to have all of the files that are uploaded to your jotform attached to the PDF of the submissions so that you can easily get it all together?

Please note that this is - at this time - not possible and that while the documents are not directly attached to the PDF of the submissions, the PDF file will hold the links to the same so it is easy for you to download them.

Now we can only assist with one question per thread, but seeing how all 3 questions are about the same thing, I did not move the additional questions into new ones.

I have a similar form the requests uploaded files and it would be very beneficial to have the uploaded documents merged with the completed form as a single pdf.

Is this a feature that could possibly be considered by JotForm for creation?

I do not believe that this would be implemented due to various technical aspects, but since it just might if enough people are looking for the same, I will raise this thread as a feature request, and move your comment @rebekah405 to a new thread where I will do the same.

Doing this does not mean that it would be done, but it means that there is some chance that it would be considered as possible at some point and if it does, then you would be notified about it through your threads.

Basically - if I have understood this correctly, the PDF that is created on Google Drive should be a PDF holding the image within it as well as the PDF files that get uploaded on the form, so there is just a single PDF file that gets uploaded to the PDF, holding your own data and the uploaded files as pages under it.

Possible alternative to that would be to have the PDF as it is usually, with just an image being attached (as it is) and have the other files as attachments to the original PDF file.

    Hi Ben,

Basically this is it. I mean, to concatenate all information and attachments into one PDF (whole information on this PDF). From the application information on the form up to the attachment whatever the extension is (PDF, JPG, GIF, PNG, TXT, etc.). All this directly into one PDF on Google Drive.

Good lucky for us. Best regards.

    Hi,

Please do take note that these are file uploaded, separate from the input fields that the form has.

If what you would like to achieve is directly printing the information from those files to the PDF submission, then I believe that is not quite possible to all, the images can be embedded but files like PDF, TXT, Docs, Excel and others may not be possible.

    Here's how it looks like:

The links to the files are embedded in your PDF submission and can be clickable.

The image can be embedded but not other files because they are being read differently.

However, I see that my colleague has already forwarded this to our developers as a feature request, but it looks like it will not be implemented anytime soon.
