Can we use conditions within Configurable List widget?

Asked by GandSEandW on July 23, 2015 at 12:32 PM

I need to know if I can condition a textbox with an if/then function. For example, if someone selects a certain option from a drop down then it makes the next field a required field. If they don't select that option than the next field is not required. Thank you

    hi GandSEandW

are you referring to something like this live demo form (fig. 1)?

it can be achieved using the conditions wizard (fig. 2 & 3).

hope this helps while waiting for the JotForm Support team.

That is sort of what I need. However, I want it to work within a widget – as opposed to between widgets… if that makes sense… is that possible? Otherwise, I will need to add a lot of widgets and I am not sure they will all fit the way I want them to..

Unfortunately, there is no way to setup conditions within Configurable List widget.

The widget fields are usually limited in terms of conditional support compared to the standard fields. You cannot evaluate individual inputs with conditional logic in Configurable List.

    Thank you.
