Our next button is currently missing on the second page of our form. Can we get it back?

Asked by lcain on July 23, 2015 at 12:41 PM

What I have seen happen is that the page looks fine, with the submit button at the bottom, unless someone checks the first box for internship type.  The other boxes allow us to see the submit button at the bottom.

We are still having this issue.  Can you verify and let me know what you see.  Visibly, when you enter the second page, the submit button is there.  If the student choses the "industry" button for their internship information, they can enter the remaining information, but the submit button at the bottom is no longer visible.  If the student choses any of the other buttons, the submit button remains visible.

    Hi,

I checked your webpage in FireFox as well as Chrome and in both, I was able to see and use the Next button on the second page:

Are you still having trouble accessing it on your end?  As far as I can tell, it should be working properly.

I have a student trying to do it right now and he is using Chrome. He clicked refresh and the button is showing now, but he had to input the information again.

So, apparently, when the student filled out some of the information on the page, that’s when the button disappeared. In other words, when you first open the page the button is there, but once they put information in regarding their second internship the button is no longer visible.

That is very odd.  Does this still occur when using the iFrame?  Also, I noticed the iFrame has now made a rather large blank space at the bottom of your form.  You can adjust the height of the frame in the embed code:

    Sorry, your reply went into my junk mail folder last week. I have not made any changes to my code, but it does show frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:15120px;
How can this number change when I haven’t done any coding to it? Is 465 px a better number to use?

That number was set automatically to the largest the form could be.  If you set it to 465px, it will most likely cut off the bottom of the form.  I would suggest trying different values to see what works best for your site.

It looks like to automatic height script for your from is not working properly.  Try your embed code without the script:

    <iframe id="JotFormIFrame" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" src="//form.jotformpro.com/form/42806454890966" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:1527px; border:none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>

You may need to adjust the height or set the form to be able to scroll.  Adjust the height value or set scrolling to "yes".

If none of those solutions work, let us know and we will be happy to take another look.

I am afraid to change my coding. I am not an IT person, but we have had the form for several years and it only started doing this about a month ago. I haven’t changed any of our embedded coding.
    It looks like this:

Though your screenshot looks like it may not have gone through, I can see what you mean:

If you are looking at the code, the easiest things to try would be adjusting the height or setting the form to be able to scroll:

Adjust the height value and/or replace the "no" with "yes".

If that doesn't work, I can help you with removing the resize script to try that.
