For instance, I have 20 dinner spots available and want to send a notice to 100 people ... but the first 20 are the only ones who can get a spot.  Is there a way to create the form so that it "shuts off" and says "sold out" after the first 20 respond?

    Thank you for contacting us.

Yes it is possible to limit the number of submissions inside of your form.

To achieve that you would need to set Submission Limit inside of your form.

So if you set your Submission Limit to 20 submissions, after you receive 20 submissions your form will be disabled.

More about Submission Limits you can find in this article: http://www.jotform.com/help/137-How-to-Limit-Submissions-in-a-Form
