Can I enter data in one field and have other fields then pull data and automatically fill other fields?Asked by starrion on July 28, 2015 at 09:39 AM
Basically I want to enter a number in one field and then have associated data that provide information about that number pulled into other fields. Then the rest of the form would be to enter new data about that number.
This may have been answered elsewhere but I didn't see it.
Yes that is possible.
You can use conditional logic to pass the values. Here's a guide to learn about conditional logic: http://www.jotform.com/help/57-Smart-Forms-Using-Conditional-Logic. Here's a guide on how to populate one field to another: http://www.jotform.com/help/286-How-to-Populate-Field-with-a-Value-from-another-Field
To assign values on radio buttons, check boxes or drop down fields, you can follow this guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/301-How-to-Assign-Calculation-Value.
To perform a calculation on your fields, you can also check this guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/259-How-to-perform-calculation-in-the-form.
I hope that helps. Do let us know if you need further assistance on this.
