Do you provide TLS for email delivery from forms?

Asked by swhitw on July 29, 2015 at 08:19 AM

    Hi,

We want to be able to submit JotForms to deliver securely to a Google Apps domain. It doesn't look like it, but do you provide TLS encryption for email delivery, or plan to in the future? I know there are other secure methods with JotForm, but ideally we'd like to use email where possible.

    Thanks,

    Simon

To confirm, you would like to receive the email notification in TLS encryption. Is that correct?

If you want to transmit the data securely, you can enable SSL on your forms, it uses TLS encryption. Here's an example of it:

Here's a guide to learn more about SSL submissions: http://www.jotform.com/help/63-How-can-I-receive-SSL-Submissions

For the email notification, they are securely sent by our email servers. However, if you wish to send them using your own email address or perhaps using your own SMTP servers, you can do that by following this guide:

If you wish to encrypt the submissions in your email, we have a new feature, the Encrypted Forms. Only those who hold the key can open the submission data, even in the email or in your account. Here are guides about it:

    I hope that helps.

Thanks Charlie. That's great - we use Google so can be confident of TLS delivery for notifications.
